The Book
age: 22
gender: female
I am a practicing pagan/psychic. A couple of nights ago I dreamed it was the end of the world (the last day). A conjure of "Noah's Ark" animals came running to my yard which later became a conjure of 1000s of people... Christians. They were worshiping and preaching and yelling as if they were coming for me. It scared me and I ran into the house and said "That's not who I am." I felt as they were demonic.
My question to you, Being I am a pisces and am susceptible to having all four types of dreams, if this were some sort of psychic dream or like painting in which I should strive for the purpose/meaning or close the book on it. I feel it holds a message that I need to grab. I am afraid to close the book leaving behind something so powerful or of importance.
A 22 year old Piscean Pagan / Psychic is going to be immersed in the realm of the Collective Unconscious. That is precisely how it is possible to give anyone an answer concerning their psychic concerns without looking at their dreams (which ordinarily have much more to do with the Personal Unconscious). This is both a blessing and a genuine danger.
The end of the world coupled with the situation of Noah speaks of the edge of Consciousness...and the genuine danger of being drowned in the Unconscious. The Ark being implied as available is a very good sign...but there is always the possibility that one may ignore the necessity of getting on board...as silly as that might sound. The way to avoid the worst of psychic inflations is to do precisely what the dreamer did. "That's not who I am" is a powerful disclaimer and shows that her ego is not so inflated to think that she can command any of the forces of nature. Not even a pagan does that. Pagans...as well as all intelligent and conscious souls strive to live in harmony with Nature and her forces. The dreamer is affirming that loudly...but she's not even completely sure that she's in harmony at the moment because those forces (as constellated in the pairs of animals and in the wild, dark desires of the worshiping and demanding Collective Unconscious) are so naturally uncontrollable that one must often back off or be torn to pieces.
Grabbing the meaning is an unfortunate phrase because it implies the desire to hold onto that power in some way. Genuine power only comes from letting go of the desire to own or manipulate. Closing the book is always a possibility...but for a Piscean, I would rather that she learn the lesson of respect for the magnitude of the power of the Unconscious and from there, integrate that knowledge by seeking out honest and caring teachers who can further her own development as a psychic and teacher. That's also a legitimate way to make sure that the Ark is ready at a moment's notice.
