I have been trying to sell my home for the past 16 months, without any success, I need to sell it as I am unhappy in it,
Can you please help.
The general laws of Psychic energy would hold that the difficulty in separating ourselves from someone or something we no longer wish to be connected with / to is a matter of unfinished business. That's not to say that we should remain connected in situations which cause unhappiness...it's simply to point out the fact that connections that persist despite our best efforts indicate that a few procedures are in order.
First, a clear and honest appraisal of what the root of the unhappiness is. This is the most important of all steps, and amounts to real Shadow work...i.e. becoming conscious of something in ourselves that we dislike, but only see when projected onto an outer person or object. Again, there's no need to remain connected...but there is a definite need to see things clearly, otherwise something else will only produce the same effect.
Once the personal cause of the unhappiness and dislike is uncovered, a ritual of some sort is required, in order to exorcise our own demons from the object (or person) in question. In any case, the object or person (here it's a house) is not the cause of the unhappiness. The querent must trust that this is true...and she will learn why that is so if she carries out the first step properly, honestly and thoroughly.
The ritual has the effect of breaking the connection...and must include an acknowledgement of both positive and negative aspects of the connection / relationship. In fact...it must be done from the perspective of thanksgiving for what has been positive...not a laundry list of fault finding.
In essence, the breaking of the connection must be about withdrawing negative projections. Only in this way can the negativity and unhappiness be transformed.
One last caveat is that this ritual must be something conclusively, existentially and experientially felt. Paying lip service may actually serve to break the connection to the object...but will not prevent the negativity from transferring onto the next new connection. We've all had our share of negative energy at home...this querent is likely on the verge of dispelling (and transforming) much uncomfortable darkness from her past.
