Libra Stellium

I have Ven-Sat-Nep in Libra 1st House. I think of this as the golden mean in

relationship to the whole chart, and representive of translational

equilibrium as a significant need for my personal growth. Are stelliums as

meaningful as I have imagined? Or should I just be grateful for the 1st House

Libra without investing this stellium with depth of purpose? Thanks for any

input.

(Translational equilibrium as in basic physics: however a wheel is spun, at any

rate of speed, the axle remains in balance with the motion, maintaining the

balance of the whole. )

I relate Libra to balance and harmony in relation to

inward and outside influences. The north node is Aquarius 5th House. Thanks

for considering this one.

I have to admit to more and more of my own ignorance as a constant in life. I've taken basic physics courses on three separate occasions and barely passed each time. But I can definitely relate the concept to the idea of the Tarot X Wheel of Fortune.... Maintaining a sense of equilibrium at the Center while our fortunes rise and fall on the periphery. Is Libra in the First House really so important as the center of the Wheel...I would have to say No, because the 1st House refers more to Persona than Self. According to Jung...Self is at the Center of our Being, not Ego, not Persona.

Persona is an impotant part of our Being, but it is the Mask of Ego. It is the interface between the Self, which includes Ego, and the outside world...Collective Consciousness. To be without Persona would make us as vulnerable as we might be naked in a snow storm. To go to the opposite extreme...to insist on Persona as the most important element of our consciousness would be to live the dangerous life of appearances above all else.

As in all issues...there are no Absolutes...and the concept of appearances begs a particular exception. I happen to know that the querent is someone who has spent a professional life dealing with the gift of sight. Jung has spent a great deal of time on the symbolic significance of the eye...as organ of sight and as the symbol of BOTH the giving and receiving of light. In Egyptian mythology, the Eye of Horus is one such example. It would therefore be important to point out that the pupil of the eye as interface between the physical world and the Soul can serve as a sort of symbolic Persona for someone deeply concerned with eyesight. In this case, then, the heavily weighted First House becomes a source of Inspiration, Balance and Creativity. I don't believe that it constitutes the Center...there are other planets to consider. In particular...a 5th House Dragon's Head begs the question of Joy and Creation...to say nothing of the Ultimate Source of Light...SOL and his consort.
