Pluto Square Venus
Subject: PLUTO SQ. VENUS
Date: Mon, 12 Apr 1999
First of all, i really like the way you write!! now, down to the basic
deal which is pluto is currently transiting my 9th house and is squaring
natal venus in my 6th house. i know that i am supposed to go with the
flow but it is hardddddd to do when natal pluto (6th house) squares natal
mars (8th house). accepting life on life's terms is not one of my natural
attributes especially since what i am feeling is that the pluto / venus thing
is calling into question all the values that i have developed over the last
48 years. any thoughts??? thanx
It's interesting that you speak of a challenge to your values during this Pluto transit. I haven't had that transit (yet) but I believe that it is quite an extraordinary challenge. I once read about the difficulties encountered by people who have Pluto Square Venus in their natal charts...and the book really emphasized Difficulty as the main aspect. To try and bring some creative juices flowing onto this issue...perhaps you could imagine or meditate into how it might feel if you lived in a society which allowed for different values and would not tend to punish an individual for expressing what is now coming up for you. The whole point of a natal Venus in Virgo is not to simply follow the rules or the recipe...but to follow your bliss. Bliss writes it's own rule book and creates it's own recipes...often quite at odds with what the collective has proclaimed to be right for Everyone. Pluto transits put you between a rock and a hard place in order to Force you to abandon what becomes psychically impossible to support. It doesn't necessarily get messy...but with a Virgo Venus, I suppose messy might be the direction of the compensation that Pluto is forcing upon you. Once it's over...you're meant to have an entirely new and transformed perspective. Something in your life is probably too rigid and not right for you, requiring this fateful and frightful zeitgeist to force you to adjust. Anyone with Mars Square Pluto certainly gets my bet. Sometimes the courageous thing is to accept what is coming your way.... This is something like Tarot Trump XII The Hanged Man. Pluto's got you strung up for a reason...and letting go always takes tremendous strength and courage. Letting go to what you don't like is not the same thing as getting rid of it.
